Who I Am
Name: Jacinth "Jack" Rutland
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Year: 7th
Bloodline: Pure
House/Position: Hufflepuff
Played By:Amy Lee
Appearance:
Standing at 5 foot 5 inches, Jack is the shortest of all of her siblings, and wouldn't be considered the tallest person. But she's the average female height, and she doesn't let it get her down. Her slender body is well proportioned, making it obvious that she is a young woman rather than anything else. By looks, she seems older than she really is, and she finds that to her liking, sometimes. With slender legs and a slim stomach, she could pass as a wimpy girl who has no strength at all, but don't underestimate her.
Eyes the color of a clear blue sky and hair as black as a ravens wing, she looks like a wild child that could break a heart with just a look of her eyes. A soft smile that can easily turn into a grimace or snarl, she's your simple everyday young woman. On her abdomen, right below her belly button, she has a coyote paw, and covering her back is a large and very unique tattoo, that goes from her neck to her lower back. The tattoo describes who she is, and has multiple features to it. On the right side of her back, are claw marks, that travel down her side, on the left side, are paw prints traveling up her body, down towards her buttocks are droplets and pools of water, on both shoulder blades is an eagles wing. Surrounding these are other things, celtic knots, native American designs, moons, stars, etc. Its a intricate tattoo, that only she has.
Personality:
Jack's a normal person, complicated and hard to understand. She has an undying love for her family and with a sense of what's right, but not always wanting to follow that path to "goodness".
Cocky and Wild: Jack is extremely cocky, believing that she herself can never be stopped. She's your average wild child, born into a family that was full of rough boys, and having to fight for the right to be noticed. She's wily and has learned how to do things a round about way that not many would notice.
Kind and Gentle: Even thought she is a fierce fighter, Jack is a gentle person. With a soft personality she can be seen helping people who are younger than her, or just relaxing in the sun on a nice day. She usually doesn't look for trouble, unless extremely bored, and trouble is always fun to her.
Smart and Quick: Jack can be a smart ass. She is quite smart in her classes, getting top notches, but to actually use that for something useful, she doesn't see the point. With a quick temper and a nasty bite, she doesn't deal with bullshit easily.
Basically, Jack is your average teenager who feels they are on top of the world. She's caught between loyalty to her family and brothers and loyalty to her peers and teachers at school. But as the days go by, will her loyalty for her brothers or for the school prove stronger?
Wand: Rosewood, 13", One Unicorn Tail Hair

Pet: Bedwyr, a Great Horned Owl. Alala, an Ocicat.
History:
Jacinth was born on May 1, 2008. Her parents were happy to finally have a little girl in the family. Jack was now the youngest child and only daughter of Larry and Maia Rutland. She now had 3 older brothers,Kevin, 4; Ace, 7; and Ranger 10, and as a baby all she could do was smile. With black hair and pale blue-green eyes, she was the spitting image of her mother.
As she grew, she became one of the boys, competing with her brothers quite well who were all older than her. She could hold her own among them, and it was quite a nice factor. She grew up in a large home on a large piece of property. She only got to see Ranger during the summer and around holidays and she didn't resent that, for without him there, she could hold her own against Ace and Kevin. But soon enough, they left for school too, and Jack spent the time finding interests in drawing, singing to herself, telling stories to the horses, riding the horses, and just being herself. Her mother stayed home with her, teaching her basics in history, writing, etc. Everything a girl needs to know. Her father on the other hand, worked in a tattoo parlor, or rather say owned multiple tattoo parlors in London.
The year Jack turned 9 she became captivated by the artwork that her father drew. She had been drawing for a few years and they were nothing to compare with the beautiful tigers, flowers, faeries and dragons that came from her fathers pen. He had a natural talent. You could find her sitting by him, watching him draw new designs constantly, and finally he let her go with him to the shop. After that she was hooked. Going into the city with him, and helping around the shop. She continued that until the summer she got the letter that formally announced that she would be going to Hogwarts. She didn't react like her brothers had, excited and anxious to be on their way. No. She didn't want to go. She was happy at home, and the fact that she would be leaving, and not be allowed to see the horses or go to the shop with her father upset her and she didn't want to go with her brothers.
She couldn't say no though. So, when it came time to get all of their supplies, they made it a family outing, going and preparing for the new year. Ranger went along with them, laughing and telling Jack wonderful stories of Hogwarts. He wouldn't be there. He had graduated a few years back, and he and Jack had become close. But they would be separated once again, life was cruel. But as the day went by, she warmed up to the idea of going to Hogwarts, the place where the boy from the stories had gone to school, and the place that was magical in every way.
So Jack went to school. She made a few friends, and ended up tagging along with her two brothers, one a seventh year and the other a fifth year. The school years went by, every summer and vacation not coming soon enough, so that Jack could go visit her father and brothers who soon were out of school, leaving her alone in the large castle. She continued to draw, and fantasize about the tattoos that she wanted, making an intricate on for her back, and a simple one for her stomach. The year after she had shown her father the drawings, and the summer after her sixth year, her father granted a wish. He had adapted the larger tattoo, and kept the smaller one the same, but took her to the shop, and put them into her skin. She loved the feeling, and couldn't be more excited. One large one on her back and a small coyotes paw on her abdomen.
When she went back to school, she couldn't contain how happy she was and gloated slightly about her tattoos. Hers and no one else's. But that passed as all things do, and worry turned to this new threat that was being whispered about. Her parents and Kevin continually wrote about mischief that her two older brothers were getting into, and the few letters she got from Ranger and Ace, talked about a better future, and ramblings about only Pure-bloods. Jack was confused hiding the letters in the bottom of her trunk, torn between what everyone said was right, and the urging of her brothers to join them in their dark thoughts and their masters plan.
