The History of Magic class was empty, no students had arrived yet, and Professor Riggs was not there yet either, she always did like to make a grand entrance anyway. But each desk was alligned properly, each chair tucked in and the black board on the front board had a message written in neat cursive writing on it.
"Please take a seat quietly and remove your text books."
There was nothing else written, no headline saying what today's lecture would be about. Just mere instructions, that better be followed or else...
Selli was known to be strict when it came to punishing students that stepped out of line. But her classes could be enjoyable to those who were willing to learn.
((class will commence after a number of students have entered the room))

Emma walked to her History of Magic class. She had her signature scowl on her face as she walked. Some people looked ugly with a scowl but she was gorgeous with or without it.
She walked in and saw that she was the first one there. She smiled at Professor Riggs and sat in the front. "Hello Professor Riggs" she said. Emma liked Professor Riggs cause she was the Head of Slytherin House. Emma did as the board said and removed her text books.

Nalean rushed out of the Gryffindor common room. Her next class was History of Magic and she was not in the mood for points being taken off for being late. Professor Riggs seemed to enjoy taking away house points and giving detentions to late comers. She hurried through the corridors to the 3rd floor where the History of Magic classroom was.
She entered the History of Magic classroom and saw that there was only one other student in the classroom at the moment. She glanced at the board quickly reading what was written on the board. She nodded at Professor Riggs and took a seat in the second row. She disliked sitting in the front row and the second row was close enough to the front of the class for Nalean's comfort. She took out her textbooks and waited for the class to begin.

Meleny ran down the corridor to the History of Magic classroom. She hated Professor Riggs. She hadn't met her properly and ran across her late at night when she heard a loud noise coming from the astronomy tower. She hoped to keep her nose clean around her and not give her any reason to give her detention. She walked into the room and didn't even bother to greet the Professor. She was head of Slytherin house and saw no reason for her to exchange pleasantries with her. As she passed the second row she gave a fellow Gryffindor 6th year a friendly smile.
She came to a stop at a desk in the back of the room in a dark corner of the room. She may appear the stereotypical vampire sitting in the darkness by taking this seat but any seat far away from Professor Riggs and far enough way so she won't draw attention to herself is fine with her. She sat down and removed the textbooks sitting on the desk. She forced herself not to raise an eyebrow as she glanced at the instructions on the board. Never before had she sat in a class without seeing instructions written on the board.

Aston ran to his History of Magic class. He really didn't like the Professor. She was head of Slytherin. Slytherins tend not to like anyone out of their own house. Especially alumnis. He wished his younger sister wasn't in Slytherin but that was were the Sorting Hat put her.
As he walked in he say Professor Riggs. He nodded to her and noticed a Gryffindor seventh year, a Gryffindor sixth year, and a Slytherins sixth year. He walked up to the second row and sat beside the Gryffindor sixth year. He smiled at her and nodded. He was following the instructions that said to take a seat quietly.
