Lyra Weasley sat on a bench in the library. The windows were open and the wind blew into her face. Pushing her red hair back behind her then coming back down gently to rest in her face when the wind retreated back. Lyra's hair was long but not that. It was as red as blood and her eyes were big and brown. She was wearing her school uniform, with her skort.
Lyra's eyes were on the book in front of her. Not really reading anything, but just focusing on it's words. Words of wisdom some might say. It was a book on Hogwarts History. History wasn't Lyra's best subject or her favorite. Lyra's favorite was Charms. It was also one of her best but now she had to do History. Which was quite boring taking it from Lyra's perspective.

That rebel moon is shinin'. Those stars burn like diamonds, Hell bent on chasin' down that crazy slide. I'll follow you where you're leading, To the first sweet taste of freedom. You got me runnin' baby, Ari smiled softly as she walked down the stone halls of the Castle. It was after classes and the weather was nice, much to her delight. She was wearing her normal uniform, black skirt with red and gold on the hem and her white button up short sleeved shirt, Gryffindor tie hanging around her neck, a little looser than usual, her head girl badge pinned over her right breast. She had left her robes in her dorm, feeling claustrophobic in the thing in this weather. The day was actually going relatively well in her opinion. So far she hadn’t assigned any detentions or taken any points away, she had actually given points to a Slytherin boy who had stopped to help a Hufflepuff First Year girl who had dropped her things. It seemed that things were finally starting to look up for her, a little at least. She still heard some things said when she walked past, but not as loudly now and by fewer people. Winning the battle, not the war just yet.
Ari pulled the door open to the library and inhaled deeply, relishing the smell of the books. Her brothers had laughed at her whenever she did this, especially in a book store, but she couldn’t help it. New books smelt amazing to her. She looked around, trying to remember what she had wanted in here (she was suffering from short term memory loss lately). Her brow furrowed and she worked, trying to remember as she trailed up and down the aisles. She looked a bit dazed as she scanned her mind; people probably thought she was out of it or something. She suddenly stopped and held her finger up in the “idea” pose. “Advanced Potions for the Eager Witch and Wizard!” She exclaimed happily when she finally figured it out. She stood there like that for a moment then blinked and realized where she was. She glanced over and notice Lyra sitting a few feet away. “Uhm . . . Hey . . Lyra.” She said slowly, her hand falling to her side and her face turning red. “Uhm . . . Good book?” She didn’t know Lyra amazingly well, but that didn’t mean she wanted the girl thinking she was some psyco.

Lyra jumped as she heard Ariana's voice. "Only if you like reading. Which most people know i don't. But I have a huge assignment coming up." said Lyra smiling and looking at Ariana "What about you? What book is that?" asked Lyra resting her elbows on the sides of her book. Lyra had never been a good student and she wasn't as stupid to pull a prank or do something that would get her into trouble right in front of the Head Girl.
"So how are you?" said Lyra. This was a bit weird but Lyra was so used to weird. Ariana and Lyra didn't know each other that well...but at least they knew each others names and knew what they looked like. That was a start. But Ariana seemed really nice the few times that they had crossed paths. Which was kinda hard seeing how big Hogwarts was.

That rebel moon is shinin'. Those stars burn like diamonds, Hell bent on chasin' down that crazy slide. I'll follow you where you're leading, To the first sweet taste of freedom. You got me runnin' baby, Ari smile softly and chuckled. “Well then for me it’d probably be a good book.” She said a little sheepishly. She took a few steps closer and took a peek at the title. “Hogwarts: A History.” She chuckled softly to herself and shook her head. Her cousin had bought that for her when she had learned Ari was going to transfer, swore by the book even. Ari knew it almost by heart with all that Hermione has told her. “I can help you some if you like on your assignment.” She offered with a small shrug. She looked up and smiled. “Advanced potions. It’s for my Seventh Year’s Potions project. It’s brutal, but must be done.” She sighed softly and rolled her eyes. She hated this project thing, made her think of Senior year back home.
She looked up and blinked for a moment. It wasn’t that she had expected Lyra to be rude, Lyra, from what she could tell, was a rather kind girl. But she didn’t expect the girl to carry on a conversation really either. She chuckled softly and shrugged. “Not bad. Trying to survive this damn school.” She muttered. She had almost fallen through a stair the other day and Peeves always managed to find her when she was doing rounds. “What about you? Not doing something I’ll have to clean up later I hope?” She teased, though she was actually kinda serious. She guessed the students were growing restless because every time she turned around, it seemed, she found a new messy prank to deal with. Some of them were quite funny, until she realized the Prefects had all mysteriously vanished.

Juliette walked into the library. She had to do her transfiguration homework or her Aunt Ginny and Uncle Harry were going to give her another detention. UGH she thought. I hate homwork.
She saw her cousin Lyra and Ariana. She walked over to them. Hey Lyra, Ariana. Whats up?"

Lyra laughed. "I didn't know you liked to read. Never mind that just back fired." said Lyra laughing again. Ariana was in the library no one came in the library unless they liked to read. Well no one but Lyra. "Well let's just say i can't promise anything." said Lyra. She was always up to something. "and as always I'll find some way to get out of it. But I don't think you'll have to clean it up. I'm aiming for the Slytherin Prefects." said Lyra smirking.
"Hey Jul," Lyra always shortened names. She always shortened Juliette's. Sometimes when she shortened names it annoyed them. Which is why she kept doing it. There was just no winning with her. "Nothing much. Just talking with Ariana. You?" she asked her cousin. It was sometimes hard because of how many of them their were of the Weasleys. Especially for Lyra because she wasn't one with remembering very much.

That rebel moon is shinin'. Those stars burn like diamonds, Hell bent on chasin' down that crazy slide. I'll follow you where you're leading, To the first sweet taste of freedom. You got me runnin' baby, Ari blushed a little and nodded, shrugging. “Book nerdiness run in the family I guess.” She said softly. She wasn’t sure if a lot of people knew she was Hermione’s cousin, and she was a little thankful. Hermione had a habit of being . . . anal, and though Ari did have some anal tendencies, she could never live up to ‘Mione’s reputation. All in all it was probably best that few people knew the connection, even though probably 40% of the schools population was technically part of Ari’s family. Ari chuckled a little, glad that striking up conversation with Lyra hadn’t backfired on her. Ari bit her lip and groaned to herself. ’NO! More messes! GAH!’ When Lyra said she was aiming for Slytherin though Ari laughed and relaxed visibly. “Thank Merlin. I dunno how many more messed I can clean up without taking over Filch’s job.” She said with a small eye roll. Not like the crotchety old man did his job anyway. “But if anyone asks, I have no clue who you are and I am shocked someone from my house would do whatever you did.” She teased. Chances are she would try and bail the girl out if she got caught, but she doubted Lyra would. Her dad was George frickin’ Weasley for Merlin’s sakes.
Ari looked up when she heard Juliette’s voice and she was surprised to see the girl in the Library. It was after class, she expected the tomboy to be skateboarding (hopefully in the courtyard). She smiled softly. “Howdy Juliette” She said with a small nod of her head. Ari nodded, confirming Lyra’s reply about what they were doing. Ari was actually surprised that she had carried on a conversation for so long, she usually bailed out by now.
”That’s because you are an antisocial pessimist Ari.”
Ari gritted her teeth and rolled her eyes. She really had to stop imagining Caleb talking to her, it couldn’t be healthy.

"Just got throught skateboarding. Ran into Aunt Ginny. Bad thing is that I told Uncle Harry that I couldn't talk to him cause I had transfiguration homework. I promised Aunt Ginny that I get right on it if she didn't tell Uncle Harry. Lord knows I don't need anymore detentions right now" she said.
She smiled and said "Some books are really good to read. I like the ones with a lot of action in them." Juliette sat down next to Lyra. She looked at Ari and said "And yes I was skateboarding in the courtyard."

"I'm loaded for detentions for three weeks straight. But I have plans so I'm gonna skip 'em." said Lyra laughing a bit. she wasn't scared about saying her plans in front of a prefect. "Like I always do." Lyra laughed and looked at Juliette then at Ariana. "In an hour I have to go tease some Slytherins. Wanna join me?"
"I don't read. I just look at the pictures." This was usually true. Lyra would pretend to read then shoot a dungbom onto the teacher's desk when they weren't looking. But she usually just pointed to the pictures. Lyra hated reading and everything that considered learning. She wasn't bad, but like her dad.

That rebel moon is shinin'. Those stars burn like diamonds, Hell bent on chasin' down that crazy slide. I'll follow you where you're leading, To the first sweet taste of freedom. You got me runnin' baby, Ari raised an eyebrow when Juliette told her she’d lied to avoid talking to her uncle. To Ari that seemed odd. She’d never lied to avoid talking to family, irritating people who assumed you liked them, but never family. She guessed this were probably different when your family was also your teacher.
Ari glanced up and rolled her eyes when Juliette made a quip about skate boarding outside. She knew she was a little anal about Juliette’s skateboarding, but she was anal about pretty much everything when it came to her Head Girl duties. She was kind of an over achiever when it came to school, which is why Caleb had given her so much shit her past 4 years. Not only did she attend normal Muggle School, but she worked her ass off at Wizarding School too.
Ari chuckled softly and shook her head. In some way Lyra made her think of herself. She was a good student back home, but she had her own seat reserved in detention with Caleb’s seat right next to her. There was rarely a day she wasn’t visiting detention after school, sometimes she’d even rearrange her detentions around Drama practice. She looked at Lyra and shook her head, covering her ears. ”I did not just heard that Ms. Weasley.” She said softly, rolling her eyes. If she knew about it she’s have to stop it. And honestly, the Slytherin deserved it so she was going to pretend she had no clue what was going on.
