- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - it had all started out as a band field trip to atlanta. they were to compete in the annual state of georgia band competition. the many boys and girls got onto the bus with the parent chaperones and the band teacher. the bus left holloway high school and went down lakeside road, going around the lake of holloway. the students reached atlanta safely. they competed the next day. the day after that they got their scores. holloway high school had won the gold! after a nice dinner, they went back to their hotels. after spending the day in atlanta, they left in the late afternoon to go back to the small town of holloway. the ride was peaceful.
when the kids were finally back on lakeside road and was traveling back around the lake, they cheered. they could see the town lights clearly and were happy to almost be home. that's when it happened. the deer leapt out of a clump of bushes to the left, right in front of the bus. the bus driver let out a shout and swerved to miss the creature. everyone screamed as the bus broke through the steel railing that was supposed to block them from failing into the lake. the bus plunged down into the lake. girls began crying and boys panicked as the bus sank lower and lower. finally, it was completely submerged in the water. water leaked into the bus as parents tryed to calm down the students. the windows busted, water flooded the bus. kids tried to escape, but the water kept them in. every person on that bus died.
now its two years after the bus accident but the little town of holloway still miss their dead friends and family. boyfriends and girlfriends, husbands and wives, all were lost to the lake of holloway that dreadful night. parts of the rusty bus still wash up on the shores of the lake still today along with bones of the dead students. the town is struggling to stay on the map. the prize money from the band competition was supposed to help the town, but the judges of the competition were just jerks. they wouldn't pay them the money they had lost to the lake. nobody's fixed the steel railing that had been broken as the band students had took in their last breaths. holloway is dying and it'll take all of their citizens to get the town more money and keep it from becoming a deserted ghost town.
